GoogleBase Products Submission

Although Silkfair is frequently crawled by many search engines including Google, we are now further adding visibility for your products by providing manual and automatic product submissions to GoogleBase, which allows your products to be found with Google Product Search.
This function will make your products more readily searchable on
http://www.google.com/products

At Silkfair, your products will be submitted by Silkfair automatically, and your products will be found and shown with the url http://www.silkfair.com

If you activate GoogleBase submission by granting access to your GoogleBase account, then your products will be submitted with your shops address (if you have a custom domain, the products will be submitted as http://www.your_own_domain.com, where your_own_domain is whatever your custom domain you designated in your Store Profile. If you are not using a custom domain, then your products will be submitted with http://user_id.silkfair.com where user_id is your Silkfair user ID).

To activate your own GoogleBase submission,

1 - First make sure you have a Google Account. If you don't have a Google account, register for it at https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount

2 - Log into your Google account. Then sign up for GoogleBase here - http://www.google.com/base/ and click on the "Sign in to Google Base" link.

3 - go to My Store / Products, and click on the link "Get GoogleBase Access and submit your products". You will now be redirected to Google Accounts Access Request Screen asking you to grant access for your Google account to Silkfair. Click on "Grant access" button. Once clicked on, you'll be returned back to Silkfair products view screen.

4 - you'll now have 3 options :
"Resubmit all products to GoogleBase" or "Remove all products on GoogleBase" or "Ungrant googlebase access"

Click on "Resubmit all products to GoogleBase" to manually submit products to Googlebase using your store url or custom domain url. You can manually submit at any time to push changes immediately to your Google account (but note that it'll take some time for Google to process your products once in your Google account).

Click on "Remove all products on GoogleBase" to remove all submitted products in your Google account.

Click on "Ungrant googlebase access" to revoke access for Silkfair to your Google account for product submission to GoogleBase.

*** Please note that you don't have to manually submit after each change you make to your products. Silkfair system periodically will submit additions/changes/deletions of product listings in your shop and update your Google account appropriately. The manual resubmit function is just for your convenience if you want to force an update manually. Please use best judgement in using this function, as we hope that users don't abuse this by forcing manual updates frequently, which can create excessive loads on the system.

Once products are submitted to your Google Account, you can check on your listings by either going into your Google Base, and check on the listings status. If GoogleBase shows that your listings have been processed, then you can search in google (such as here :
http://www.google.com/products or click on Shopping when in google home page).

If you offer GoogleCheckout, the GoogleCheckout logo will display next to your listing showing that you offer such payment.
